To save the world’s carbon footprint REBEL CONVERTING is devising ways for eco-friendly packaging. We are working with a new hybrid packaging structure that combines the best features of rigid, flexible and fiber packaging. The rigid interior frame defines the shape and provides structural integrity while the in-mold label (IML) or paper panels enclose and protect the product.
The formats can be manufactured with custom ratios of virgin, compostable or bio-based materials (including molded pulp and fiber) allowing for truly next generation, omnichannel packaging formats.

CARDBOARD TO REPLACE PLASTIC CANISTERS
REBEL is integrating from plastic containers to cardboard boxes for our wipes. This offers several advantages, primarily related to cost, convenience, and environmental impact. Cardboard boxes are generally more affordable, easily recyclable and biodegradable, and require less storage space when not in use. This will make a huge Environmental Impact. Cardboard is recyclable and biodegradable, making it a more environmentally friendly choice than plastic.

Rebel will be looking at ways to reduce plastic in our waterways and waste stream, by formulating effective “deep green” formulations onto renewable, compostable, and plastic free wipes. Swap out designs fast and economically. Color and quality remain stable from lot to lot; no more blurred text or bar codes. Not just attractive, these canisters are the heaviest-duty available. Number them sequentially if desired. Even apply different finishes and textures.
WHAT IS IML?
A preprinted polypropylene (PP) label is placed in a mold. When molten PP is added, it fuses with the label.
